Search
Notes
You can search for a dance by title or by content. The scope is very powerful. For example, if you search for Newcastle you will find:
- all the dances with Newcastle in the title
- any other dance that mentions Newcastle (eg as in Newcastle)
- any dance that uses a tune which includes Newcastle in the tune title
- a lecture about the dance Newcastle
Here are a some more examples of how you can use the search feature:
- Entering this and that into the search form will return results with both "this" and "that".
- Entering this not that into the search form will return results with "this" and not "that".
- Entering this or that into the search form will return results with either "this" or "that".
- Entering "this and that" (with quotes) into the search form will return results with the exact phrase "this and that".
Searching is based on complete words so searching for Jac will not find Jack (but will suggest Jack to you). Similarly, searching for Jack will find Jack's Maggot and Jack North, but not Jackson's Maggot.
